Is your reason (excuse) for smoking because you have no will power?
Is your reason (excuse) for smoking because you LOVE the taste
and smell of burning tobacco?
Take a moment and think about your level of anxiety of NOT smoking.
Rate it between one and ten. Ten being high and one is low.

Read this once through, then close your eyes and do the slow breathing exercise while you recall of the reasons why you want to be a non smoker.
Step #1 - Think of a place in nature that is a calm, tranquil place that is just yours. A place that you can call your favourite vacation spot, paradise, retreat or sanctuary. In a moment close your eyes and you will be there. Almost right away you will feel the wave of relaxation flow over you.
Step #2 - Now slowly breathe in for a count of 5, hold for a count of 5, exhale for a count of 5 and repeat until your physical and emotional system has calmed down. This is the fasted way to relax your parasympathetic system. In this state it would be impossible to inhale poison into your lungs. You can even imagine a shower of white healing light as you breathe in and out.
Step #3 In the state you can start to remember all the reasons WHY you choose to breathe fresh clean air. Whether if be for your current or future health, to be there for loved ones, to be the role model you always wanted to be, to be in control of your own beahaviours, or maybe you are just tired of paying money for something that you don’t even really enjoy.
Step #4 Open your eyes when you feel at peace and notice the calmness.
